Booking & general

How do I book a session with Hydrokinetic Therapy?

Book online on our Book a Session page: choose your services, a date and a time, and send the request. WhatsApp then opens with your booking details so we can confirm the time, location and price with you. You can also call or WhatsApp us directly on 0716368914.

Do you come to my home, office or event venue?

Yes. Pool maintenance, swimming coaching and lifeguard services take place at your pool or event venue in and around Nairobi. For massage, therapy and rehabilitation sessions, tell us where you would like to be seen when you book and we will confirm the location with you.

Which areas do you serve?

We are based in Nairobi, Kenya, and serve clients across the city. If you are outside Nairobi, send us your location on WhatsApp and we will let you know if we can reach you.

How much do your services cost?

Prices depend on the job: the size and condition of your pool, the number of swimmers or event guests, or your treatment plan. Send us your details through the booking page or WhatsApp and we will give you a quote before anything is confirmed.

Do I need to fill in a form before my first massage or therapy session?

Yes. New massage, therapy and rehabilitation clients fill in our short New Client Form, which covers your goals and relevant medical history so we can choose safe techniques for you. Your answers are kept confidential.

Swimming Pool Services

How often should my swimming pool be serviced?

Most pools stay clean and balanced with weekly or bi-weekly visits, which is how we schedule our part-time pool maintenance. Heavily used pools, or pools recovering from an algae bloom, may need extra visits at first.

What does a pool maintenance visit include?

Each visit covers water testing and chemical balancing (pH, total alkalinity and chlorine), algae prevention, brushing, skim-netting, floor vacuuming and filter backwashing, plus a check of the pump, skimmer baskets and filter pressure to catch problems before they become costly breakdowns.

Which chemicals do you use to balance pool water?

We use pH regulators such as soda ash and muriatic acid, total alkalinity buffers, chlorine and shock treatments as sanitizers, and premium algaecides and water clarifiers to keep the water clear and free of algae.

How experienced is your pool maintenance service?

Our pool care is led by a professional with 10 years of experience managing residential and commercial pools, including brand-new apartment pools.

What ages do you teach swimming to?

All ages. Toddlers and kids learn water safety and the basics (floating, breathing and basic survival strokes), while teens and adults get technical coaching for endurance, breathing and all four strokes: freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly.

Can you provide a lifeguard for a party, wedding or corporate event?

Yes. We provide certified lifeguards for birthdays, family pool parties, weddings, corporate pool games and team-building events, and mobile, wilderness-trained lifeguards for hikes that include natural plunge pools, rivers or waterfalls.

Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork

Which type of massage is right for me?

Holistic massage suits stress and relaxation; deep tissue and trigger point therapy targets painful knots and chronic muscle pain; myofascial release helps posture and restricted mobility; hot stone therapy melts deep tension; and maintenance massage keeps your body balanced before tension builds up. If you are unsure, describe how you feel when you book and we will recommend one.

When should I get a sports massage, before or after an event?

Both have a purpose. A pre-event sports massage is fast-paced and done shortly before activity to boost blood flow and flexibility. A post-event recovery massage uses soothing, flushing techniques after hard exertion to reduce muscle soreness (DOMS) and speed up recovery.

Physical Therapy & Hydrotherapy

What is hydrotherapy good for?

Hydrotherapy is low-impact, water-based therapy. The water supports your body weight, which makes it ideal for arthritis, recovery when you cannot yet bear full weight, and zero-impact joint therapy.

What is underwater treadmill therapy?

You walk or run on a treadmill set in water. The water takes weight off your joints, so you can rebuild strength, balance and endurance with less strain during recovery.

What is cupping therapy and what does it help with?

Cupping uses suction cups to create negative pressure on muscles and fascia. It stimulates blood circulation, releases stubborn muscle tension, relieves pain and supports recovery, and is often used for back stiffness, shoulder tension and chronic strain.
